BLS AMBULANCE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
Our Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances are staffed with highly trained Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's). CARE provides ambulance service 7-days a week, 24-hours per day throughout Marion and the surrounding counties.


ALS TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
Care’s experience in ALS Transportation is exemplary. Our vehicles are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, power inverters, and two-way radio communications. We staff ALS Ambulances with highly trained Paramedics (EMT-P’s), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's), and a Respiratory Care Practitioner if needed.

Skilled Paramedics Trained in the Following:

  • Monitor IV & IV Pumps
  • Cardiac Monitors
    • Vent Dependent Patients
    • Any Invasive Lines such as: Arterial Lines / I.C.P. Gauges


First Responder (Dispatcher)

  • 1 Certified E.M.D. & 5 in transition ( 30 hour course & exam / renewal exam every 2 years )
  • Professional attention given to every call
  • Trained First Chain of Survival
  • Specific Telecommunication Techniques
  • Marion County E.M.S. Protocols
  • All calls are voice documented on computer
  • Dispatchers are Audited & Reviewed

CARE Ambulance Service is active in the cities we service. CARE's involvement includes the following:

  • CPR classes

  • Preschool presentations

CARE Ambulance Service also provides special event ambulance coverage when requested.

Wheelchair Special Events

Empowering individuals by providing transportation to events such as:

  • Family reunion & personal family matters
  • Court & private matters
  • Wheelchair staffing to state & county fair
  • Car, drag & bike races
  • Concerts – Festivals – Orchards
  • Parks – Museums – Art Gallery


E.M.S. Bike Team

Team consisting of Paramedics & EMT’s (5 + members/ 6 team squad)

Capability Features:

  • Patrol a large area or crowds
  • Can maneuver different types of terrain
  • Stationed at the start – midway – end of event
  • Can transport directly from event to hospital

CARE provides a friendly setting so children are more curious and receptive to the connection between the word emergency and ambulance.

  • Knowledge is Power: developing the ability to know who, what, when and where to call for an ambulance emergency


CARE Ambulance Explorer Post

A part of Learning for Life Career Education program, young men & women who are 14 – 20 years of age may (and have completed the eighth grade) participate in the Explorer Program. The program provides the following:

  • Career Opportunities in ( E.M.S.)
  • Life skills
  • Service Learning
  • Character Education
  • Leadership Experience


CARE Ambulance Explore Post Activities

Program & Ambulance Activities are as follows:

  • Training class every other Monday @ 7pm – 9pm
  • School nights can ride until end of shift
  • Ambulance activity assisting in taking vitals & transfers to nursing homes, assisted living centers, hospital runs, on the scene accidents, prisons (for those over 18 years old), bike team & ambulance sponsored events

The (Bariatric) CARE Cot

  • The CARE cot weighs approximately 400 lbs.
  • Built and designed to support 2,000 lbs.
  • Ramps specially developed to hold the weight of a racecar = 3,000
  • Side rails crafted to prevent cot from rolling
  • Unit has state of the art winch & cable system
  • Folds easily for on-board safety, convenience & on-board storage

Maintenance Department

  • 15 years of skilled Vehicle Experience
  • Both: (Private/Commercial)
  • 24 hour on call emergency pickup
